CRC win international safety award
Staff from CRC organisation based in Rochester joined leading organisations from the international world of health and safety to celebrate their success in winning an International Safety Award.
Following an independent adjudication, CRC was successful in winning the award from leading health, safety and environmental training, advisory and audit body, the British Safety Council. This award has been achieved by CRC for 11 consecutive years.
CRC is the only cleanroom design and build company to achieve this prestigious award.
More then 900 guests from around the world, and from a diverse range of sectors, came together at the annual International Safety Awards ceremony and banquet at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday 21 May 2010 to celebrate achievements in health and safety.
Speaking at the awards banquet Julie Nerney, chief executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated the winning organisations on their success in achieving high standards of health and safety in their workplaces, thereby helping to prevent injury and ill health.
In order to win this prestigious award, an organisation must demonstrate that it has comprehensive health and safety policies in place, as well as a commitment from the shopfloor to the boardroom to a positive safety culture and the adoption of behaviours that have safe and healthy working practices at their heart. Providing workers with the necessary skills and competence to ensure risks to health and safety are properly controlled is vital too.
