Middle Eastern talks end in agreement for Clean Room Construction
Expansion into Middle Eastern markets could be on the cards following an agreement between leading cleanroom design and build specialist Clean Room Construction Limited (CRC) and Silicon Valley for Nanotechnology Co, which is a Saudi Arabian company.
CRC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work collaboratively with Silicon Valley for Nanotechnology (SVNC), on design and build projects for research centres and universities in the Middle East.
Silicon Valley for Nanotechnology is the first company in the Middle East to specialise in MicroElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) and is responsible for installing the facilities and services needed by educational, medical and commercial research centres involved in MEMS and nanotechnology projects.
Clean Room Construction Director Steve Lawton said: "We are delighted to have signed this agreement to work collaboratively with the SVNC. SVNC’s local on-the-ground knowledge combined with CRC’s expertise and experience in this specialist field should enable us to satisfy the growing need for first class facilities in this part of the world in what we hope will be a mutually beneficial partnership. Initial interest in our partnership has been very encouraging and together we are already preparing bids for three projects in the region."
Dr Eng. Mustafa Al_khusheiny, Chief Executive of Silicon Valley for Nanotechnology who has a PhD in Microengineering and Nanoelectronics, added: "Our aim is to give MEMS and nanotechnology researchers the best possible facilities and service. CRC is a leading cleanroom design and build specialist so, by combining CRC’s all-round expertise with our ability to deal locally with researchers and their needs, we can offer potential clients the best of both worlds."
Clean Room Construction of Kent is a leading specialist in the design and build of cleanrooms and containment facilities for science and technology sectors right across the UK and overseas.
