CRC’s Responsibilities:

 

CRC were responsible on a design and build basis, for the clean rooms and laboratories in their entirety and for the M&E services to the rest of the facility. The remit included commissioning, validation and hook-up attendance upon the client’s equipment.

Project Outline:  

CRC were initially employed alongside the Client’s professional team from Stage C to produce a performance specification for the works which formed the basis for design and build tenders which we tendered on a competitive basis.

The works comprised of approx. a total of 1,600m2 of accommodation including 1,200m2 of clean rooms / laboratory space and 400m2 of offices.

The services included liquid nitrogen, process cooling water, compressed air, vacuum, low pressure hot water, chilled water, 18 MegOhm de-ionised water, HVAC, fume extraction, fire detection, data & voice.

The clean rooms included Class 10, 100, and 1,000 classification areas and were complete with wet benches.

The offices included heat pump air conditioning
